in 2000 i had a hair-line fracture on my left ankle. in 2004 i got my first 'sit-all-day' job and i gained a lot of weight. in 2005 i was diagnosed with carpal (sp) tunnel syndrome. in may of 2006 my fh (at the time) bought me a treadmill for my bday...which i was using EVERY day, until my left foot started to hurt and i have plantar fasciitis. now my left hip is hurting almost all the time.
i went to the dr yesterday and am no better off than 24 hrs ago.
what do i do next??? where should i go next??? i refuse to hurt all the time

An Orthopedist? If your Carpal Tunnel is realy severe there is a surgery they can perform. There are a lot of girls here in the medical field I am sure once they read this they'll have suggestions! I hope you feel better soon!

Well, the carpal tunnel is not related to the other injuries. I'd imagine your hip is only hurting out of compensation for the pain you were having in your foot. (it's generally all related -- my father had his hip replaced and then wound up needing knee surgery on the other side, too, which is very common!)
I'd go to an orthopedist asap.

Darling, Carpal tunnel can be relieved by minimizing working with you hands (like typing on this site) Definitey go see an orthopedist for your hip. It could be a rheumatological problem (hereditary or not) so he'll probably take some blood and to X-Rays on your hip. Any trauma to that area lately? Does anything make the pain better? Worse? Hope you feel better soon

i know that the carpal tunnel isn't connected and that when i knit/type less and do my stretches it gets better... i just wanted to add it to my list of complaints becaus i feel 100 years old right now
to answer your question: no trauma in the area. standing, walking makes it worse

Hmmm, is the hip pain on the same side as the plantar fascitis? If it is, it could be refered pain. In any case, definitely go see an orthopedist and let him/her run some tests. I'm only 25 and have both medial and lateral menisci torn in both knees My doctor took some xrays and noticed that b/c the menisci are torn, the bones in my knees are constantly rubbing up against each other and this will probably create some problems later on. That's just my story, and you definitely don't have my problem but I strongly suggest you go see a doc b/c there might be an underlying reason for all this. FM me if you have any questions, or post on here :) (I'm a medical student, btw, graduating to Dr in April)

I understand the frustration of feeling like you're falling apart. My knees are already shot, and I've already fractured my lower back!!
It IS frustrating. I hope you get some answers - and some solutions soon!

No prob sweetie. Hope you feel better. Don't want to scare you, but ask your family about any arthritis history and age at which it was diagnosed. (Imp info for the doc). Also, think about any rashes you've had, flushing of the skin, oral ulcers, and hair loss. If any of those are 'yes' answers, make sure to mention them during your app. The best of luck to you!!!!
