So I had contacted them to see if I could surprise FH with a Billy Joel singer for dinner hour. I specifically told him that I was trying to surprise him and to call ME with the price quotes and details. Well....then tell me why FH said 'Funny, FM called me and wanted to know if we were going to go through with a Billy Joel singer.' I was going to play it off and pretend I didnt know what he was talking about but I could hear it in his voice that he knew what i was up to. I'm upset because it would have been the best suprise for FH at the wedding. I wanted to do a little something for him for the day of and I thought that would be perfect!
FH doesnt think its a good idea because with us trying to save money with this wedding its just added $$ on top of what we're paying already. He said to forget it but the thought was what counts. I'm sure they deliberately wouldnt spoil the surprise and I'm sure there was some sort of miscommunication.
Someone gave me a good idea w/ billy joel stuff...if your having the plasma tv's, during ny state of mind, they have ny backgrounds on the tv's. Something kind of different....maybe u can do something like that instead

You would think they would mark on there that it was surprise!!! It was a nice thought though. This might be mean, but you should call them back and say you decided not to go through with it because it was supposed to be a surprise and someone called and told your FH.

awww just dont talk about it anymore with FH and pretend like it is a 'dead' idea.... you have time till your wedding and he will forget... set it up anyhow.

Exactly!!! If you can get a deal on it then you can still have it and not break the bank. Just don't mention it to him so he forgets about it.

***NM, I just read your original post. Ugh, that is annoying. Maybe someone different from who you spoke to called. I am sorry they ruined it for you. If I were you, I'd still go through with it. We got a dinner singer through them too, the price is fairly reasonable!!!

i'm sure it was an honest mistake albeit shouldnt have happened at all, but frank & his wife seem like pretty stand up people, if you call them and let them know what happened i'm sure they will offer you some type of compensation if u are booked with them for your wedding.

yeah definitely speak to them. they are pretty fair and understanding. i'm sure they will feel bad for ruining the surprise and offer some other creative suggestions..

FM REALLY unimpressed me too.
I would DEF call them and tell them they missed a sale because of their goof up. i'm sorry that your FH's surprise was ruined
