i'm very into color right now and noone is helping me
ok, so i flopped on the tux question...how about these questions...my girls' dresses are purple (i guess this sets the scheme?) what kinds of flowers go with purple dresses? (for a fall wedding) and do the table flowers have to match the girls flowers? AND finally...any pix that you can post?? thanks!!

what color purple? dark purple or light purple (lilac)... I think pinks and yellows go very well with purple.
Actually orange & yellow would look really nice with a dark purple I think..
For lilac I would stick with lite pinks and maybe pale yellows?
Also- for lilac one of those green bo-ks would be amazingly beautiful.
Usually all the flowers have a consistent theme- but they don't have to.. I had similar flowers throughout the bo-ks, centerpieces, etc- but you need not do that (i.e. if you want calla lillies it's usually super expensive to have an all calla lily centerpiece)

I was going to say yellow- like sunflowers or gerber daisys. Do you have a pic of the dress in the color? Maybe just walk into your local florist to get some ideas. There is a beautiful bo-k thread you can try to find. There are even some purple/blue flowers that might look nice.

I'll help ya out since you did the same for me!
First...my fave color is purple...and depending on the shade....colors you could go with: yellow (bright and bold) oranges (bold, deep) ivory (classic and elegant) white (classic and elegant) peach (my color is periwinkle and I'm using peach and fuschia gerbera daisies for my BM's)
pix I don't have, but maybe I can find some in spare time...

here's the dress again. thanks girls. i really wanted to use sunflowers, but i wasn't sure. i also really like the idea of those arm length bouquets. do you know what i am talking about?

I would go with Purple to match dress, Lilac, Ivory, Mauve and Baby Pink. I think any or all of those colors would look great togther with that dress.

maybe?? they are longer ones that you lay on your forearm instead of holding in your hands. very miss-america. i love the idea. and i think the sunflowers would go b/c of their length. but i wasn't sure about the color with the purple. do the tables generally match the girls flowers' help.

Yes, that's a presentation bouquet. Sunflowers can be very heavy though if you leave the long stems on...you might want to consider that.
You don't have to do anything you don't want to do! They don't necessarily match, but I wouldn't go so far as to have the girls carrying pink with the purple dresses, and then have red centerpieces ya know?

I think that you could do one type of flower for the girls and then do other flowers for the centerpieces and include that one flower. So if you do Sunflowers for the girls then do Sunflowers and colorful daisies in the centerpieces. Here are some of the dasies for the centerpieces I am talking about. And you could do sunflowers for the girls to carry and the dasies and the sunflowers in the centerpieces.

I just talked to a girl who used lavender, orange and black magic roses and the girls were in purple.

You can get a bunch of sunflowers that lay in the girls arms. I just got sunflowers a few days ago, they weren't perfect, but I got the idea of color. Maybe you can buy one (or get a silk one) and see how it looks with the dress.
