Dont worry, at least you will now have the wedding of your dreams and you will start out your life together financially stable and not in debt because of a wedding. You made the right move!!

Best of luck....I think it will be worth the wait! Why put yourself in a bad financial situation? If I could have done it I would have gotten married in 08 but since my FH and I are paying for it ourselves we decided that we shouldn't rush.

Aww I know it seems far away, but time will fly...and the other girls are right. Its better to take your time than go into debt over the wedding. That would have been very stressful the first year of a marriage, so just keep reminding yourself you are making the right choice!

Thank you .. you all did make me feel better and today im really ok with it and i do have my engagement party to plan with my mom so its not like i have to just stop planning things cold turkey

Don't worry, everything happens for a reason. I know sometimes when you're looking at it in the present that's not something you want to hear but if you look at the big picture and know that now you're going to be in a better place after the wedding then this is all for the better and you made the best decision! Good luck and don't forget to keep posting with us!! Just because you're a 2010 bride now doesn't mean we don't want to share the love!

Don't worry sweetie, you made the decision that is best for your and your Fiance. Take your time, finish your eduation, and set everything up the way you want it. I bet the wedding turns out even more beautiful then what you originally imagined. Good Luck!!

You made the right choice. With allot going on you don't want to be stressed out with a wedding. I was originally getting married in '08 but after assessing everything going on at that point in time we decided to wait until 09.

Don't be sad...like someone before said, 'everything happens for a reason.' Plus, school is very important for the future too. I am finishing school next year so that's why we put off till 2009.
