I did the calligraphy myself...I wasn't as good as a professional, but I think I was good and I really feel that it gives it the 'I care so much about you coming to my wedding, I hand wrote your invitation personally'

Re: I'm waiting to receive my invites...
I was going to try and learn calligraphy, but I don't think that's going to happen....I heard on here about a website called www.inkspun.com that will laser print (I think) your inner and outer envelopes and I think someone said they are not too expensive. You may want to try that out! good luck!

Anyone doing them on the computer? That is what I am planning to do. I actually like when they are done on the computer. Some calligraphy is too much for me. I like things simple.
what fonts are you using?

I was going to do them on the computer untill I heard about inkspun. They only charge 39 cents for the outer envelope. I think its a deal considering it takes the pressure off me. I am not sure if my printer would make them nice and they are thick paper and I would go crazy with worry over each one! For 39 cents let them do it. I called for samples yesterday. I'm sure it will be nice. I spoke to the owner. He was sooo nice. Sending the envelopes to him in the next two weeks. Good luck to all

Re: I'm waiting to receive my invites...
Ours is much more informal wedding (60 guests, saturday afternoon), so my friend with the best penmenship I've ever seen handwrote them for me. The second option was the computer. I did get a quote from the woman who I got my invites from for $1.50 for calligraphy per set.
