My best friend and her sister are living in Tampa/St. Petersburg area... as you know there are two hurricanes coming their way, they are evacuating people, they will know for sure at 6pm if they have to leave... this is horrible I am very worried about them

Just try to maintain contact and see what their evactuation plan is - where will they go...that sort of stuff.

Guys, I dont know too much about the hurricanes. My sister is flying in from West Palm Beach on saturday. Is it going to hit that area?

well they announced state of emergency for the whole state... and this is what I found:
According to Hurricane Center projections, both storms could spread rain along the East Coast after hitting Florida, and flood watches extended north to Pennsylvania and New York. For North Carolina, the heavy rain from the storms was coming just a week after Hurricane Alex damaged parts of that state's Outer Banks.
Hey the hurricane is supposed to hit tommorrow at 2:00 p.m. central Florida Area which is like Orlando and the surrounding areas my cousin is down there and I just called them and they said that they may have to evacuate tommorrow if it is severe but for now it is only a Level 3 hurricane which is not too bad.
Don't worry just keep in touch with them tommorrow because that is when it is scheduled to hit the area.

I'm worried about my Aunt,Uncle who live in the KEYS!
My cousin is also down visiting them this week. I think they will get it pretty bad. As for more inland it always loses strength when it hits land so Orlando and West Palm shouldn't be too bad.

My uncle and his family live in Ft. Lauderdale, and haven't been told to evacuate-yet.
