He always gets headaches... we both do and I'm convinced that that's the reason we're meant to be... our headaches!! This morning he woke up with such a headache and so short of breath and throwing up... he was reduced to tears the pain was so bad... I asked him if he wanted to go to the ER (which I never do because to me, what's the point). I'm so worried and so nervous because I've never seen him like this before
ps.... we have to travel upstate this morning to get to his friends RD and their wedding tomorrow which he's in! OY!

Make him go to the Dr, because you go upstate just incase. Trust me you don't want to end up in the Hospital upstate.

I've tried numerous times to get him to go to the dr. He's not convinced that that might actually help. He's soooo stubborn when it comes to this stuff.

He's from upstate actually... Albany area... so I'm not worried about going up there... it's just getting him to go...

My mom had 2 aunts who suffered from migraines all the time. One died when I was 2 of a brain aneurysm and when I was 14, the other had an operation that saved her life to remove a very large brain aneurysm. It's VERY serious and he should be concerned...with or without family history. All of my mom's remaining aunts and uncles (and her mom) have gone for screenings and continue to do so.

My mom gets the worst Migrains EVER!! When she gets them....she's in bed all day, throws up and has to be in the dark. Sometimes she puts a cool wet towel on her head or neck. if her stomach can handel it she has a little bit of strong coffee. She takes something that her relatives from Argentina (who also suffer from bad migrains...its hereditary) recommended. Its not sold in the us. Sorry. I hope he feels better. Usually when my mom gets her migrains...she looks like she got run over by a mac truck..its so bad. He should also start keeping a diary of things he ate or drank a day or two before he had the migrain. maybe its something he eats that triggers it. Some wine and cheeses bring on the migrains.

I really don't want to sound rude, but you really need to get him to see a doctor. He may be stubborn because he's scared of finding out what is wrong. However he owes it to you to take care of his health. You two are a team and I'm sure if you had the same symptoms as he did, he would want you to see a doctor.
From past experiences I find people rather live in ignorance when it comes to their health. My mom had to drag my dad to the doctors. Thank god she did because they diagnosed him with cancer. He's all good now!

How's his blood pressure? Sounds to me like that could be a factor... Have him check it at home or at a local pharmacy with the machine.
I hope everything will be okay but don't put off the doc visit!

You fh needs to see a doctor and a neurologist. I suffer migraines. I have to watch my sleeping and eating patterns. I go into a dark room with asprin coffee migraine medicines, no noise and sleep. He has to get checked out for a cat scan and the corrata artery.

Scrap the Cat Scan - MRI's are much more useful in this instance. Definitely sounds like he needs a trip to the doctor to make sure everything serious is ruled out.

Get him to the doctor or emergancy room asap...don't play around with the brain. It could be a migraine, but these are also symptoms of a lot of other life threatening issues. When he goes upstate...if he is going to a mountainous area increased air pressure could make it worse. Please, please, please go to the doctor. Not trying to scare you, but don't let him blow it off. If it's nothing, then it'll be good to know it's nothing. If it's something, you can do something about it before it gets worse. Hope he feels better. keep us posted.

he needs to go to a doctor. migraines are serious stuff and sometimes excruciating headaches like that are signs of a bigger problem. I had migraines and Imitrex worked wonders for me.

Sounds like it could be migraines- I get that way with mine sometimes, too. Have him go to a doctor- he can get a prescription for them and they'll be 100 times better.
