Imagine Studios vs Duet

Imagine Studios vs Duet

So after a night of not so great sleep my future hubby and I have decided to check out two other photography companies - Duet & Imagine Studios.

Anyone have pricing and what their packages entail?

Anyone use them and recommend a particular photographer?

Any not so great experiences?

I know everyone has oodles of other photographers but I am just focusing on these two for right now so any advice would be appreciated! Thanks much!

And thanks for all the support yesterday ... I was feeling overwhelmed!

Re: Imagine Studios vs Duet

Hey MsCarina79, I posted this on your other post topic:

We booked Duet because we wanted those Artsy photos, but Duet provides 2 photographers on your day, and the assistant photographer is the one who does all the traditional portraits. Try Duet, they have great prices and they give you 2 photographers. Remember that it's tougher to make artsy photos then it is to do more posed shots. The photojournalistic photographer should be able to do regular traditional portraits, whereas the traditional photographer might not be able to pull off something more artsy you know? good luck!!!

You can start booking online, and they will show you the price for your package, they are very reasonable, and I have heard great things. We booked TJ!

Hey! Its completley normal to feel anxious before booking a photographer - after all this is one of the decisions asides from FH that is going to provide a lifetime of memories!! You will know when you find the right choice for you

I don't think you have to book online to get pricing- you can most certainly make an appointment to meet with photographers/studios in person and in some cases I even made phonecalls to see if it was even worth meeting with certain studios based on pricepoint.
I checked the duet website out for you and I belive there is a discount for booking online (depends on what your most comfortable with) you can always meet with them first and go from there. I have heard excellent things regarding their prices.

As for imagine studios - they offer a la carte pricing but according to the flyer they sent me package A starts at $3800... They were on my top ten list but I didn't meet with them based on the initial negotiating point and for what we wanted in our package. Hope this helps. Best of luck!!

You don't have to book online, but if you start the process, you can get a price. You'll see when you go on their website. Go to Book Now.

Of course you should go and visit them, but if you want an idea for price, then just check it out first.

PS. the online discount isn't as good as the price you get when u go in there.

let me know how it works out!!

sooo happy this topic came up! this is exactly what I am stuggling with now. I LOVE duet and was hoping to use them. and I am thrilled that the price in person is better than the online price. I will be making an appointment with them as soon as I have booked my church.
I too have been so anxious about booking a photographer. My sister (who is virtually my wedding planner) assures me that as soon as my RH, church and photographer are booked I can chill out for a little bit before I have to do anything else. So I am totally anxious to get those things out of the way ASAP.
I'm also in the process of applying to grad school as if i dont have enough on my plate right now!

I would love a vacation right about now but thats sooo not happening! LOL

First of all, don't worry - it's completely fine to be nervous about choosing a photographer! I am sure that all of your worries will disappear once you find the photographer that is right for you.

Imagine Studios and Duet both do beautiful work; however, I am somewhat biased because I booked with Imagine Studios. Imagine is actually the only photographer that we met with because we fell in love with their style of photography. We also love how their photos are very soft and romantic. Lia, the photographer, is soooooo sweet!! FH and I absolutely LOVED her when we met with her. We felt completely at ease and comfortable around her, which is really important to consider because your photographer will be spending the whole day with you. After our meeting FH and I made small talk with her for a little while and it felt like we were just spending time with a friend. Imagine does tend to run a little more expensive than some other photogs, but in my opinion, it is worth it!!! I can't wait to see how my wedding photo come out!!

Def check out both photogs because they both do amazing work! If you have any questions, feel free to FM me!
