IMMIGRATION HELP!!!!!!!

Ladies my mother wants me to write and 'invitation letter' for my wedding for a family memeber so they can take to the embassy and try to get a visa to come to the US for my wedding. Anybody know how I would go about this? I am going to send an invitation also. .......HELP!!!!!!!!!!

If I am not mistaken, the invite should be sufficient. If not I don't see the harm in writing a letter if this person is important to you or your family to come. I guess many countries are very strict with people coming in and out of the US. JMO

I would think that it couldn't hurt to have the letter saying how much you would like said person to attend. When it comes to immigration, every little bit helps (I just got my spousal visa a couple of weeks ago)

Yep, I'm here and happy to say that I just landed myself some part-time work. It's good to have while I'm job searching...if for no other reasons than it's free internet access two days a week and it will get me out of the house (seriously, I AM an English Housewife!!)

Turns out the immigration process wasn't so bad. They didn't even interview us, we just went to the embassy with our paperwork, marriage certificate, etc and by the end of the day I had my Visa. I had brought pictures and printed out emails and cards and letters, our wedding invitation, our marriage announcement from the TImes, etc, etc, thinking we would have to prove our relationship, but it wasn't really that big of a deal. WHEW!!

I posted on NWR for you. It is not a letter, but a form with a letter portion. I tried to post the file but it is too big. I can e-mail it to you.
