Import Question RE: Adressing Envelopes

I'm trying to get the last of my invites out asap but I dunno how to address one of my envelopes...
its for a gay friend and I want to invite his partner, but they don't live together, and I'm not sure if it would be weird to put both names on the envelope anyway (not sure how openly gay he is, and he works at the post office, so I wouldn't wanna put him in a weird situation....
so should I just right:

Mr. John Smith and Guest
...
Or should I just do
Mr.John Smith
Mr. Joe Schmoe
