Hi Girls and Guys I will post my review soon but right now I am dealing with a situation. I went to St. Lucia on my HM and on the way back I had a bad feeling about the security. It was shady....Well I opened my bag today and I am missing one necklace my aunt gave to mye for my wedding, a bracelet from my father, one earring, and about 400-500 dollars. Oh and one of my memory cards for my dital camera. Anway, My recommendation, carry everything your luggage is out of your sight for sooo long that you never know and in St. Lucia it was shady. My review to follow in ano ther day or two when I am feeling a little better....but other than this, everything was awesome.

I am sorry to hear that. That's why I carry my valuables with me. I lost all my clothes on a trip once, lol. I had to get an outfit from a southern wal-mart. Were the items insured?

Sorry!! My mom just came back from Florida on Saturday, when she opened her suitcase there was a card in it telling her that her suitcase was searched and all for security purposes and they apologized if anything was messed up. Luckily, she didn't have anything important in it! I hope your able to recover or get compenstaed for whatever was missing!!

I'm so sorry! I hope it works out!! I just got back from my HM in St. Lucia too and I agree about the shady security! They opened up our suitcase in front of us and I just got this weird feeling about it too.

The same thing happened to me when I went to Florida 2 weeks ago!!!!
Dolphin - hopefully the airlines can compensate you somehow.

I am not bringing anything valuable when i go away. Travelers checks,my wedding band, and a camera. Which will be in my carry on bag. I'm also bringing toothbrushes for each day we are away. i don't like hearing those stories of people developing their film and they see pictures of the maids cleaning the toilets with your toothbrush or putting them in their a$$e$.

You should file a claim with the airline. Be persistent with them.
I never leave anything valuable in my checked-in baggage. It all stays with me -- no matter how heavy my carry-on gets. It's too chancy otherwise.

That totally sucks. I can't believe the nerve of some people. I'm really sorry to hear that all those things were taken from you.

I'm sorry to hear that - I always carry money, jewelry, prescriptions and anything valuable on my person (or at least carry on) - especially when they have signs saying that they take no responsibility for your vaulables.
I'm sorry to say you won't get far with the airlines since they tell you not to put vauables in your checked bags since they are not responsible. Don't know about whether you will get anything from renters... They will probably want to know if it was stolen from airlines or security which will be hard to prove unless they put something in your bag saying it was searched.

im so sorry- my bags were searched when i was cominghome from aruba- i keep all of my perosnal items in my pocketbook and dont let that bag out of my sight. cant trust anyone now adays.. i would definately contact the airline!

omg, I have never heard of that before, now I will become paranoid whenever we go on vacation
