IMPORTANT!: ALL LADIES WEARING A GARTER

IMPORTANT!: ALL LADIES WEARING A GARTER

Ok ladies...need your help here.

Those of you who have ordered lace garters online or purchased them in the store, this question is for you....

Do they look shoddily sewn in the back?

The reason I ask is I just purchased mine from www.eyecatchingcreations.com and though the front looks amazing, the back is HORRIBLE!

The garter is lace on top and bottom with a red satin ribbon in the middle where it scrunches up. It was customized for me from this picture:

They made it red and white for me as requested, but when I turned it over, I was LIVID!

The two ends of the red ribbon do not match up AT ALL and they used red thred to stitch up the white lace! So its all ziggy like they didn't know how to hold the needle straight and the two ends are really mismatched.

I am ready to explode because with shpping, it was thirty bucks and it looks like something I COULD HAVE MADE AND I DO NOT SEW!

I did write to them so I need to wait for an answer, but this is what their policy says:

Shipping & Returns

Most orders will be shipped within three to five days after payment is received. Personalized or customized items will take longer. We ship using the US Post Office and usually ship Priority Mail. Please call if you need shipping options. If an item is backordered, you will be notified by email. Our goal is to provide quality products so if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us ASAP. Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns. Thanks!

Makes me think I am going to have to call my credit card company to dispute the claim...-sighs-

So before I get all crazy and start making plans B, C, D.... could someone tell me if I am being unreasonable? Are all garters that have satin and lace mismatched and stitched this way?

can you post a pic? i would imagine from reading their policy that even though they don't do returns, they'll probably remake the garter if you make a big stink about it. and you should! i sew and i would NEVER imagine making something that wasn't 100%.

This is why I got my ringbearer pillow on eBay--at least on eBay, if I hate the pillow when it arrives, I can threaten to leave them bad feedback.

They say there's no returns, but I don't think that should count for paying $30 and getting a piece of c-rap. Write to them and complain, tell them it's unacceptable and that you want a new one, not a return. Otherwise, if you paid by credit card, question the charge. Make a stink. They know they did a lousy job, they should make it right. You could also threaten to make a stink about them here, on the Knot, on Weddingbee, etc. Good luck.

I can tpost a pic for awhile because I dont have my camera with me(in process of moving from my apt to FHs in jersey and cameras at my place. I am at his) but if they do give me a hard time, I will take pictures and post them everywhere lol. I am SOOOOO upset! My mother sews and she woudl NEVER do something like this. Its just so sloppy and lazy! They should have made sure the ends lined up and done it in red to match the satin. Then they should have, GASP! CHANGED THE THREAD COLOR TO WHITE for qhite lace! Wow whata concept...matching thread and fabric...

Sorry to be so bitter gys. I am just really upset. Its only thirty bucks but its my thirty bucks and I trusted them to give me something of quality, not soemthing that looks like it was made by a 4th grader in home ec class.

I know CITIBANK will give me the money back if the company gives me a hard time-they're great like that. When RK gave me a hard time about my dress, Citibank was ready to go to bat for me. So its not the loss of money that concerns me. Its just the nasty battle. We're all so stressed doing other wedding stuff. WHY do some vendors want to make life harder?

Mine too and I had lace and ribbon in mine as well.

I would see what customer service says first

Good Luck and don't settle for something you are unhappy with.
