This is very important information for anyone who has bought diamonds: Apparently, whoever decides how much to charge people for diamonds charged too much during certain years. I believe De Beers comes up with pricing but there is a website where you can file to get a rebate for jewelry that was purchased between certain dates...
'All persons located in the United States who purchased any diamond or diamond jewelry or other products containing gem diamonds for personal use and not for resale between January 1, 1994 and March 31, 2006.'
For more information and to fill out a Consumer Claim Form check out this website (below)- they also have a phone number you can call and an information email address you can write to w/ questions:
According to the person I spoke with who has been helping me as I compile all the information I need to file our claim - we are owed over $2,000!!!!
Hope this helps - remember, not just engagement rings but wedding bands, necklaces, tennis bracelets, earrings, etc... Anything with diamonds. You need certain docs to verify each item you are claiming - you can find out what docs you need for what on the site or by contacting a rep to help you but the majority of us have docs for our engagement rings and wedding bands - I know I do and it is A LOT of freaking money!
GL ladies!!!

Re: Important: REBATE on Diamonds!!
ok, question, it says its pending for the District of NJ...does that mean it had to be purchased in NJ or is that just where the claim is stemming?
