in a funkkkk- LONG and BORING

so we've been looing for a dining room set for YEARS. all i wanted was a nice black table with a matching curio.. not even a china closet..

i found the perfect table at Bobs.. the black one with the granite top.

i even switched around the living room/dining room (1 big room) to make room for this big table.. its REALLY long..

fh swears its too big. i personally think we justttt make it. he says no way its soo cheap which makes me like it even more..

well i went to a few more furniture stores and i found a set.

its darkk wood. looks black when theres no sunlight. (theres never sunlight in our living room because we hide form our neighbors, and now the US Census )

i walked into the store and i fell inlove with the china closet(i can now have a china closet cuz i switched sides of the living room to put the dining room set in..)

today we go back to talk them down in price and i analized the fk out of it. its reallllllllly sturdy and REAL WOOD.. so it has those natural holes ..like my face with big pores lol.. i hate it..but we ordered it anyway. the guy said he will go to his warehouse and open up theboxes and give us the 1 with the least amount of holes.

now im home..and im thinking... we settled for dark brown...the 1st 4 yrs when we were looking, we just wanted black and skipped all the dark brown sets.

did we rush into it?? now i wanna look around at more dark brown sets.. but part of me says eff it.

im saddddddddddddd

ok vent over..

does any1 know a person who sands floors that isnt too much $$??

theres so much going on i dont even know how to respond lololl.... yay for find a dining room set, booo its not black? maybe? haha you could look forever, the fact that youve looked this long and are just now finding something i would def stick with this one!! i honestly think youll like the dark wood longer than you wood black, idk more classic to me so greater chances youll like it 10 years from now.

go with your gut and your first instinct to get this. you have been looking forever, and you finally picked something, so dont doubt yourself now. go with it show pics!

it's like trying to find a wedding dress. you think you know exactly what you want and then you get it and start 2nd guessing yourself.

I dont know if this will help you at all, but my parents just bought a dining room set from Gothic Cabinet for the basement..totally finished wood with 8 chairs. They had a slab of granite cut a little bit bigger than the measurements of the table and had the edges beveled and it looks amazing! the whole thing with the granite came out to $1400! No Curio tho. But just wanted to let you know that your idea of putting the granite in a few years is totally do-able.
