In case I forget to tell you...*UPDATED*
I'm going to Fantasia and Paradise on Tuesday.
It's my first time, so excited!! Taking mom and MOH and BridesGayd and having lunch between appointments.![]()

So I went shopping today. We got to Fantasia at 11 and they were very nice there, but the woman who helped me was just kinda lukewarm. There was one other girl there with another consultant, but my consultant kept leaving the room. So I'd be stuck in there waiting to get corseted up and have to wait for her to come back.
I found one Sottero and Midgely (Geddes), there that I liked a lot.
All in all though, I wasn't super impressed. It was an ok experience. Not miserable but not fantastic either. I was there for all of an hour and 15 minutes. At one point I was joking after I tried on 3 dresses and rejected 2 that she brought to me, oh, am I exhausting your options yet? And she said yeah, kinda. ***??! 5 or 6 dresses later? I know I'm a plus size but c'mon.
Then Mom, MOH and I picked up BridesGayd and went for lunch and then went to Paradise.
First of all, let me tell you that I called PAradise a few weeks ago when I was looking for a couple of particular dresses and Liz, who was a sweetheart, helped me and made sure she called me back to update me. Today when I got there, appaently I was supposed to have Vivianna but wound up with Liz instread. I didn't even think about the fact that it was the same woman until 45 minutes into my appointment, but when I brought it up, she remembered me. The girl next to me who got there after me wound up with Vivianna and she had the personality of a wet rag, I didn't even hear her talk to the client. Liz talked to me and listened to me and had a great time with all of us for 3 WHOLE HOURS. The time flew, I tried on SO MANY dresses.
I found a couple that I liked, but only one that I REALLY liked, and I don't think I'm still really sure about it. It's a Bonny and I tried to find it online but I can't. It's silk satin with a corset back, but I can only find a similar one that's taffeta with a button down back.
I can't post pics right now cause FH is sitting right here, but if anyone is going to Paradise, know this:
1) LIZ is A Wonderful woman. She knows her stuff and she's very personably and receptive. Ask for her if you can
2) The prices are great
3) The selection is great
Also, I will say, being plus size is very frustrating because there were a lot of dresses I would have like to try that they just don't have in a sample size large enough. And holding it up to your body isn't good enough. And I don't get it... there are so many of us, the markt is there, why don't they make more plus size samples???![]()
I'd like to go to RK soon. If anyone can share their experience there, particularly a plus size one, I'd love to hear it.
