You are awesome for posting this. This is something I have always felt passionate about and sadly a lot of consumers don't know this info. I am so happy oprah did a show on this because so many people watch her and more people will get information.

Thanks to Oprah for doing this! I cant stand Puppy mills! It truly needs to stop! It is so unfair for these animals!!!

OMG i was watching it before when it comes on at 7pm and OMG I was seriously crying the whole time watching it. I am NEVER buying a dog in a pet store. When we get back from the HM we are getting a puppy, i already found a breeder to buy one from so thank god bc after seeing that i couldn't do it. If i had a huge house with a backyard i would love to rescue some the way that guy does but obviously couldnt do it at the same level he does. Ever since i was younger i somehow always found little kittens alone and in poor condition and would take them home and take care of them until they got better.

I don't know how those people could live with themselves

I was crying the whole time!! I am one of the people who got my dog from a pet store and I really had no idea how bad a puppy mill was or what it was!

Oprah is awesome for putting that on her show, I will never buy a dog again. I did at first go to shelters when I lived in Boston but the shelters had no dog or they had putpull mixes and in my apt. management had a strict policy against the breed.

When I get another dog I will go to a shelter!!

i also got my Pumkin at a petstore....but gee i wanted to just take them all in and help them...i am a sucker for animal causes...people cant understand y i do walks for farm animlas or why i care about the seals in canada but i just do there is just something in me ....i go onto peta's website and watch these undercover videos of monkeys being tested on and i just lose it....my boss will come in and i am crying at my desk..

FH didnt want to watch Oprah with me...he likes to ignore whats happening around us......but i hope one day we will have a big house and be able to save some poor dogs from being killed and shoved in plastic bags and thrown out like garbage

that guy is amazing though, what he does for those dogs really touched me. And omg did you see the pic of his dog shrimp when he first got it and then how it looks now, so great to see

After buying my baby Daisy and i have become so aware of the horrible conditions in puppy mills. Against advice we bought her from a pet 'boutique' on brooklyn. The next few days she developed pnemonia and was so sick they didnt think she would live. We took her to emergency rooms in the middle of the night and spent thousands on x-rays and treatment and hospital visits, she had pnemonia, parasites, heartworm problems... everything you could imagine. i shudder to think what would have happened to think what would have happened if we didnt purchase her. Today 6 months late she is a happy and healthy baby girl.
