I have celiac disease, meaning i cant eat a regular - flour filled wedding cake. The wedding cake is included in our RH package but the bakery doesnt make gluten free cakes.
I can get a gluten free wedding cake from another bakery, but i feel like its a waste of money, cause my mother and i would be the only ones who would want to eat it.
What would you all suggest? Does it really make a difference if my Fh cant feed me wedding cake? We can still do a cake cutting ceremony, i just cant eat it...

I don't think you have to do the cake feeding, but if you wanted to you could have a gluten free cupcake sitting next to the cake just for that.

What about using cupcakes for you guys? Ive been hearing about them. You can get the kind you need for yourself and then one for FH and still cut the cake, but eat the cupcake instead.

It all depends on what you envision for your day. I've been to a few wedding where there was no garter toss, no bok toss, and no cake cutting so you can certainly do it. Actually two out of the last three weddings we went to last year, the couple didn't cut the cake. Cupcakes is an option. I've toyed with it....though you already know what I'm doing.

cupcakes or fruit (fruit can be more sensual and loving then cake) I had seen this at a few of my friends weddings who don't eat cake but LOVE fruit.

You could either still cut the cake and not eat it, or you could just eat something else, like people said a special cupcake or whatever you want, you could be creative, it is your wedding!!!

can you get a gluten free muffin or cupcake or a cookie-cake? truthfully, we aren't feeding each other and we are having cupcakes... we may not even make it a big part of our reception...

I'm not going to do a cake feeding at all. I really don't want to stop my wedding for our guest to watch me and my fh each a forkful of cake. JMO
