Would you still go if you were planning on it for your HM?
We are planning on London & Paris for our HM. In light of everything that's been going on in London, I no longer want to go. FH wants to and says he will not allow those terrorists to win.
We have not booked our HM yet. What would you guys do?

Screw them! If we were to give in b/c of fear we would never do anything in our lives! This is what the terrorists would want us to do! Let the honeymoon go on I say!

Someone I work with went there 4 days after the first bombing. He said everything over there was fine! HTH! Good Luck

I agree... having fear = them winning. DW was afraid to fly after 9/11 but then i said you wont be able to see the world. she agreed and we have flown several times since.
no matter where you are at anytime, you must remain cautious...

definitely, you can't live your life in fear, unfortunately when it's your time, no one has control over that.

While I believe it is the 'right' thing to still go, If I hadn't of booked it yet I probably would book somewhere else for no reason other than that I am a huge worrier and it would no longer be fun for me to be honeymooning there. I wish I wasn't such a worrier, but to me my honeymoon is supposed to relax me and keep my far away from the problems of the world. Like I said this may not be the 'right' answer, but it is what I would probably do. Good Luck!!!

Go! Go! Go! London is my absolute favorite city (after NYC..hehe) and Paris is so romantic! You will have a wonderful time...just be cautious!
There are some really fabulous day trips you can take from London to Bath, Salisbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, and others if you have questions

We can't let them win by living in fear. Should we have moved out of NY because of 9/11.....heck no! Enjoy London.

I'd still go - London is awesome. I might avoid public transportation though

Re: In light of what's happening in London
London is a fabulous city, and you'll really be missing a lot if you don't end up going. Plus Paris is also wonderful. You should definitely go! The reality is that it's really hard to predict when and where the terrorists are going to hit, and if we keep wondering about whether they're going to bomb this place or that place, you'll never leave the house...

That's my problem, I worry about everything. And I've already seen London and Paris. But FH has not and is excited to go. I know we will still end up going. And in the end, I know it will be a wonderful and romantic honeymoon. I'm a worry wort about everything.
Thanks ladies for the encouragement.... I think that's what I just needed :)

I would go. Basically because the terrorists can strike anywhere at any time. If that was where I really wanted to go on my HM, I'd go.
