in loeu of favors...

I have been searching and searching, and I know I have a lot of time to really think this through, but I have decided that maybe instead of buying favors that might be trashed anyway, I'd like to do a donation to St. Judes (my favorite charity).

How do I go about this? Has anyone ever done it?

Yes, it has definitely been done. You could create nice cards or get them made that say 'in lieu of favors...' and place them at each plate setting

i think you should def do a donation ... 99% of favors are completely useless ... and the other 1% is very expensive

FH and I are doing a donation favor, but also giving out a small bag filled with Jordan Almonds.

I was thinking hershey kisses too! Yesterday I went on vistaprint and got 250 business cards for free and I made my favor tags out of them. It cost only 5 bucks to upload an image and 5 bucks for shipping. 10 bucks for my favor tags!!!
