I found the perfect invitation, but I really cannot afford the $7 price tag. Any recommendations?

what about seeing if you can find a wax seal that looks like a sand dollar, or a charm that can be attached?

Would you be able to make that? It looks like a wax molding to me. You might be able to find that at Michaels. Just have the invitations made and do the wax press yourself.
Just a thought.....

Re: In Love w/ An Invitation That I Cannot Afford
description states that it is a geniune sand dollar. lol, never saw one that tiny!
100 1-2 inch Florida sand dollars. They have been dipped twice in hardner. They are all a beautiful white, and ready to decorate! They are carefully wrapped for shipping. They work great for craft projects..ornaments ..fund raisers..gifts..school projects..wedding favors. etc!. All you have to do is use your imagination. Winner to pay $7.00 S&H & $1.30 required for insurance as they are fragile.
Then just get a nice cardstock, some blue ribbon, a good printer and you're set!
Good luck!

A faux wax seal would also be nice. Go to www.fauxwax.com.

you should talk to some of the vendors on the vendor board. Laura from LA productions made our invites and they came out fabulous! she might be able to put something together for you.
good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Im in the same predicament. The invitations I want cost a fortune. It says they are between $12-$14.

Re: In Love w/ An Invitation That I Cannot Afford
please excuse my utter stupidity.
nsgraham was kind enough to find the sand dollars for me, but what next? i am so not a crafty person. i would still have an invitaion place print the invitations and then i guess i could add the finishing touchs.
however, where would i get the ribbon (i am assuming a fabric store) and how would i attach the sand dollar and ribbon to the invite?

Re: In Love w/ An Invitation That I Cannot Afford
YOu can see if you can find paper like that and print them out on a computer and then attach the items with hot glue perhaps..... or ask on the vendor board how much it would be to make them if you get all of the items, so you would just need the printing... those are adorable invites though!

Re: In Love w/ An Invitation That I Cannot Afford
i emailed the invite place about reduce pricing of orders of 100+. below is there response.
'Thank you for contacting us about your interest in our 'Sand Dollar' invitation. The price of the invitation includes the box envelope (as the invitation features an actual sand dollar which would not survive mailing in a regular envelope), and a mailing box. The intricacy of the design, the hand-assembling and the extra items required for this unique presentation are important factors considered when setting a price.'
i replied again in re: how much it would be for the sand dollar and ribbon on the invite and not the response card. i also inquired if the sand dollars and ribbon could be purchased w/o the invite. you would think that they could work out some type of deal.
as mentioned, i might be better off getting the supplies and having someone assembly them all for me. i really don't think i could handle doing all the invites myself.
