In need of help!

In need of help!

Okay, I'm just looking for a little bit of advice. I love my Fh, he's the absolute best, and most supportive person I know. I work as a teaching assistant for a Charter School, for the summer I don't get paid. I felt horrible thinking that I wouldn't be able to help pay for the wedding because I would be out of work for the summer. I was home for all of a week, and found a job at a lawyers office. This is totally foreign to me. Now, three days later after starting this job, I TOTALLY ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! I feel like the biggest scum of the earth, the lawyers at the practice, are plain rude and nasty. I was left in a room the size of elevator to shred their old papers yesterday. I don't want to go back, and I know Luis (FH) would be totally supportive of me, but I just feel guilty. What should I do? Suck it up and go to work,or just take the summer off like FH originally suggested? I just don't know, I know we can afford what we have left of the wedding to pay, and I also know that if we were in a crunch for money, my parents would help out...Please help girls!

Sorry for the long post!

I would give it two weeks and see how you feel. if you don't think you will need the money and you still hate it, I say leave. There is nothing worse than rude and nasty!!

I agree too. You can use the time for wedding planning anyway! And not feel overwhelmed like some of us other girls!

I think I've been called an idiot, more than my share of times in the past three days, and incompetent. I just felt like saying who they hell do you think you are! I don't care where you work or what you do, being personally insulted is uncalled for!!!!

Quit and find a new job no reason to torture yourself!

Personally, I would leave. If you are concerned about the money, there are plenty of places that would hire you where you may be happier. I wouldn't deal with the verbal abuse - but that's just me.

Suck it up if it is only for the summer. I would sacrifice it for my wedding.

i originally agreed that you should give it a little longer, but if they are insulting you then just leave! it is not worth it; no one should get treated that way

wow,I don't think anyone deserves to be abused like that at work

maybe you don't have have to take 'the summer off' but you could find a less stressful job that can still contribute to the wedding? If you are a teacher, you should be able to find some tuturing gigs or look into summer camps or even part time nannyu/babysitter. Your experience with kids should be a great advantage in the summer.

either way, if it were me, I would also feel bad not contributing to the wedding at all during the summer. I am also a worrier so I never felt 'safe' about money when it came to the wedding...

Due to the fact there is a wedding to pay I will recommend to FIRST GET A NEW JOB...
DONT QUIT UR JOB UNLESS U HAVE SOMETHING SECURE ALREADY.. U know anther job line up......

If u dont find a job, unfortunately i wil tell u SUCK IT UP =(
This is what my FH an I are doing right now for our jobs, We are 'sucking it up'....

BUT if u think both of u will be fine with Fh's Salary, then I will say QUIT....

Yes! I'm definitely a worrier. I hate feeling like I'm not helping. Then again in the beginning of this planning I was the one shelling out all the money for deposits, and I helped him get completely out of debt!!! So, he tells me not to feel guilty, but I just can't help it....
