In need of legal help...any lawyers out there???

I received a notice with a hearing date from the Suffolk County Conservative Party (don't know why) about a complaint that I don't 'sympathize with the principles of the conservative party'

am I in trouble???? HELP!

i dont think i have to appear to the said court hearing, but i googled and found this article. does this mean i can't vote in the next election?

ok you're not in 'trouble'... but... you probably won't be able to vote in the primary election.
you should probably change your party affiliation asap. ultimately what they're doing is not right, but it will probably be a while before that is determined.

if you never set a party then it has to be a mistake. in that case, just ignore it!
