In need of opinions! Please

I am getting married in the fall of 2005, which I am very pysched about. However, I have always secretly wanted to have an intimate ceremony on a beach ever since I was little. I thought it would be so romantic. So I was thinking about renewing our vows on our honeymoon, and hire a photographer to capture the ceremony for us.

For 24 pictures it's $260 with a $150 fee due at booking. It's really not that much money in the grand scheme of things.

Is this totally uncommon? I mean it would be like having two ceremonies, one with all my family and friends on Long Island celebrated traditionally and then an intimate one on a tropical island. Just wondering what you girls thought

Beautiful idea. WHere are you thinking of honeymooning -- in certain places for a relatively small fee, they will plan everything for you. Also, FYI, there was a bride who posted a couple of weeks back -- I don;t know her exact screen name but it was Haley something who ran off and did just this a romantic intimate ceremony on the beach and she was so happy -- might be worth looking for that post and dropping her an FM>

Thanks! I think I am definitely going to do it. I even get a wedding coordinator and get to pick my own location. I was feeling a little uneasy that I wasn't going to get wedding pics of me and FH outside and now I feel I am getting the best of both worlds.

It sounds like a very romantic idea.
Is your FI as romantic as you?

The only reason I am asking, is because if he is not the 'mushy' type, he might not 'mentally' go along with this, ruining the moment. If he is a romantic, like you, than this is an adorable idea! People say that no one remembers what happneds on weddings, and this will definately be the ceremony you remember!

Even though he's a real man's man, he will go along with the moment because he knows how much it means to me. He's romantic, but not overly mushy. I dont' want a pansy crying over everything anyway

, but the moment will be perfect for us, it's right up our alley. Intimate and private.

Brian and I plan on doing this . . . a wedding ceremony is free with our package, and we may hire a photgrapher through the hotel for some pics . . .

i think that's a fantastic idea!!! we are actually planning on doing that too... ideally, wherever we have our honeymoon, we will seek out a wedding ceremony in that tradition...

i say go for it!! it will be private and beautiful.

I think its a great idea, especially since you have dreamed about it since you were little. I really think you should do what you picture in your head. Its just making you fantasy come true. and that is awesome!!! You get the best of both worlds.
