I have been thinking alot about our first dance song (I know, wedding isn't 'til 06 but I am a planner). I REALLY love the song 'True Companion' by Marc Cohn, but for some reason don't want to use it as our first dance. We are having an E-Party, w/ DJ. Do you think it'd be an appropriate song for us to dance to there? I am afraid of out E-party seeming too wedding-y. Thanks!

Re: Inappropriate?
I Love that song. I think it's a great idea. You should have a dance to celebrate your engagement! Why not?
Congratulations, by the way!

Re: Inappropriate?
Thanks! I am afraid of the E-Party being to wedding-y b/c when I told my mom that we were having one (FH & I are paying for it) she said 'It's not going to be a min-wedding like you-know-who's is it?' She was refering to a friend of mine who's E-party was just that, a mini-wedding with introductions, cake cutting, first dance, etc. And, the guest list was identical for both the E-party and the wedding, and the parties were only 7 months apart! I am still trying to decide if we'll have pastries instead of cake (FH wants pastries).

Re: Inappropriate?
go with the pastries (yummy!) ....and no introductions.
