I hate to be the 'mean person' but personally, unless it is St. Francis of Assissi Day, I don't think pets should be brought into the Church.

I went to pre-cana on Saturday, and they made mention of the 'no pets' thing. Also be aware that the pup may start barking and, if your church is as big as mine, the echoing would be bad. Just my opinion...
