We are ordering and sending out our save the dates soon. We blocked out our hotel rooms already and the hotel is printing out cards with the info and code of how to get a room for our block. Would that be helpful info to include in the std or with the invite? We have a fair amount of guests that will be traveling. The wedding is August 2015

I included our website on the save the date which has the hotel info. And I thought that was fine. Howeverrrrr, I contacted the hotel last week to see how many people had booked rooms since I need to know whether or not to do a shuttle, she said only 2. I've been hearing from people they were waiting to get the hotel info with the invitation. I was like, I SENT IT WITH THE SAVE THE DATE!! They're just like, oh. I was expecting it with the invite. Soooo, I ordered website cards to put in with the invitations. Annoying.

I did put it in the save the date but regret it because I ended up Changing hotels and I had to call two people who had already blocked at the old place to cancel. More trouble than its worth.

I didn't include it in the save the date because I didn't send one to every person I was inviting at the time. I am planning on doing it with my invitations so everyone has it at the same time and its closer to the wedding date.

I agree. No one booked for mine until they received the actually invitation.
I think people want to know for certain they will get an invitation before making a hotel commitment.

Since we are getting married on a holiday weekend a lot of friends and family have been anxious about booking their rooms! We didn't even send the save the dates out yet and we had to increase our hotel room block which gets harder to do as you get closer to the wedding. I'f you have the info now I see no harm in sending it along with the save the dates

FH's aunt included it on a business card she made on vista print for cheap (came out really good and it's nicer than the ones the hotel gave her and she made them to match). Only thing was a lot of people I guess didn't even realize the other card was in there and when she asked why they hadn't booked their room yet they were like 'idk where?' So maybe a bigger card than business card size? I'm definitely planning to include it, just not sure how yet.

Our website has our hotel info so hopefully people are techy enough to go on there! If not, I hope word gets around, maybe I'll include an insert for invites with hotel and website info again.
