Are you planning to include a space for guests to indicate number attending on your response card? We weren't going to but my mom pointed out we have a lot of families coming, and some may bring kids or not....so it might be good to have....I kinda thought they would just write who is coming on the line provided? What are your thoughts?
TIA!

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
i put it on when i ordered my invites:
people - especially guys - that are invited with guest - sometimes just write there name and forget to write and guest or the name of their guest
Its sort of a double check that you know whom to expect

So did you just do:
____ Number attending
? I don't think I want to go to the trouble of doing ___ out of ___ attending....too much work!

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
I left a line for the person to write the name...I ave very few 'families' that I am inviting as a family. Most of them I did individual invites.

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
I did.
I had the line for their names:
M___________________________
Accept with pleasure_____ Number attending _____
Decline with regret _____
You'd be surprised how many that are invited w/guests forget to add that they're actually bringing their guest or not (meaning they only write their own name on the line). This way it's a subtle reminder.

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
we didn't, just in case people decided it was OK to think they could bring 10 people even though only two were invited. for the responses we've gotten back, many people have filled in the # next to the Will Attend section, so that's been very helpful.

Did anyone who included 'Number attending' and has already gotten RSVPs back have this happen? I don't think it will be a problem b/c we are basically inviting everyone as it is!

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
I did: ____ Number attending Thank goodness I did that. I had a lot of people just write their own name in the name space even if they were bringing people. So it helped me figure out for sure how many people would show up.

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
I'm doing something like this:
Kindly respond by ________, 2008 M ______________________________ ____ persons will attend ____ not able to attend
And they can fill in the number of people. If you have large families, they might not be able to fit all the names on the line like you mentioned. HTH!

Re: Including 'Number Attending' on Response Card?
See I really don't think our guests will do that....there's no problems with bringing extra children b/c we're inviting all of the children....(1st cousins I mean, and others will not expect to bring their children).....the only problem I would forsee is our few guests we are inviting with GUEST who might not put names...but there's only like 5 of them, so perhaps it doesn't really matter....

If they decided to bring kids (which we made it clear that we wanted no kids) we would have to call them and fix the issue but so far it hasn't been an issue.
