incorporating grandparents who have passed

incorporating grandparents who have passed

I was thinking of having the Rabbi say a small prayer for our grandparents who are no longer here and then mention their names

.... but I'm afraid of it causing family drama ....

will our families get offended if we mention only our grandparents, but not everyone else in the family who has passed away?

Has anyone had experience with this? did it cause World War 3 among the families?

We just put a note in our programs recognizing all of our loved ones who have passed. Not by name, just a blanket statement.

I think you should do something like this! We were gonna have memorial candled, but it would just get weird if we didn't include someone.

In our ceremony...

'Mark and Jacqueline would now like to take a moment to honor the memory of Mark’s
father, and Jacqueline’s grandmother, . They are deeply
loved and missed, and Mark and Jacqueline wish they could be physically here to partake
in their joyous day. However, we do know that they are here with us in spirit and their
presence is cherished and a reminder that they are always with us.'
