Indian Brides!

Can anyone suggest a good makeup artist who can do great makeup for ethnic weddings, as Indian weddings are very colorful and extravagent.

oh this is great, we are having our Hindu ceremony the day before the catholic ceremony and reception and I DEFINTELY need to find someone who can do my makeup for that day...

www.IndianWeddingSite.com has a lot of vendors and useful info. i had an engagement party in LI and i had my makeup done by nina lamba - i thought she was pretty good. i've heard a lot about nina doshi as well. good luck!

I had a trial with Nina Doshi- everyone says how wonderful she is but I didn't like how my makeup came out. But I've had friends who have used her and looked amazing.

What area are you in? The woman I used is great- she's in the Setauket area. FM me if you want her #. She did all these facials and other things the weeks leading up to the wedding.

well i called nina doshi and her prices are outrageous!!!! she wants 950 dollars (she stays with you the entire day). she will not do a one time makeup application, and will not do makeup on anyone else.

Yupp, she is that expensive and she doesn't go anywhere near your bridal party. So then you have to get another person to help them out! So essentially over a grand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I guess as long as she keeps getting people, the money isnt an issue for her.

I would like to add that you should check out FEMINA salon on broadway in Hicksville. I have seen pictures of some stuff on the walls and it looks really nice.
