Indian Wedding Ceremony

Indian Wedding Ceremony

Hi Ladies,
Well there's been a change in plans. FH would like to have an Indian wedding ceremony the day before our reception, so now we need to find a place for a ceremony/lunch. I would like to know if any one knows any halls (preferably in Nassau) that specializes in this. The main issues are that since this is now in addition to our actual wedding, I would like to keep the costs down (think less than 15k) and we have approx 300 people. I was thinking buffet for this since we are doing a sit down for the reception to help us cut costs. We would also need to do additional decor, centerpieces, etc.
All advice is greatly appreciated!! TYIA!!!

What about in a house of worship? Have the ceremony there and then cater in the food (I'm assuming it would be all vegetarian and no alcohol, right?). I've seen it done before HTH

i'm having a indian ceremony as well. if your set on having it at a reception hall i know that Marriott in melville does it. worlds fair marina nin queens caters to indian weddings as well and they have a water side view. akbor in long island is also another good option.

i think it will definitely cost less then 15k because there is no alcohol and the food is vegetarian.

Thanks for the replys!
I don't want to do it in a house of worship bc FH and I are of different faiths.
I was looking into The Sterling since they have a whole desi package. Does anyone know if they are any good?
