Indoor photo, near Oakdale or Ronkonkoma

Just to be safe I want to have a backup plan, just in case it rains. Any ideas of places in the Ronkonkoma or oakdale area?

I can't remember when I get my dress! My first fitting is either in June or July- I don't have tha date with me. Are you going to the headpiece show next month? I think that's when they're having a makeup artist come in. I have to check on that though.

If you haven't found your dress, try Klinefelds. They're in Brooklyn, and it's a bit of a treck, but if you get your dress there, they'll send a car to pick you up for fittings. Can't beat that. Plus they're nice; the woman who helped me out couldn't have been nicer.

The main hall at Dowling College in Oakdale is nice inside. I think you need an appointment for that. Your photographer should be able to give you some ideas if he's from the area.

There is a conservatory in Holtsville (near Ronkonkoma)that my BIL & SIL took photos at because it rained on their wedding day. They were supposed to go to the arboretum. I think they also have some animals to take pictures with too. I cannot remember anymore info on the name, address, etc. I will try to ask them and post more info tomorrow. There is no set fee, but a donation is requested.

I posed the same question to my photographer and he said to make an appointment with the ecology center in case of rain. He said not a big deal if you don't show so it's not a bad idea to make the appointment just in case. . .

Anyway, don't be disappointed or feel embarrassed about having a budget. It is important that a vendor you choose understands and respects what your budget is and tells you honestly whether or not he/she can accomodate you. I decided to splurge on the video and photography and trim down on the flowers and there is nothing wrong with that!
