I want to have a Plan B for my wedding day pics since the spots I have now (Coney Island Boardwalk, Brooklyn Bridge Promenade) are somewhat dependent on the weather. I need to think of some indoor locations to take pics in case it rains on the big day. My ceremony is in Coney Island and the dinner is in Williamsburg, so we can definitely get to the city to take pictures and make it back for the reception...
FH thinks I am crazy...
Do any of you have suggestions??
TIA

I was thinking about the same thing I do not want to take pictures in the studio in case it rains, so I also really need to know

What about the Brooklyn Museum or one of the greenhouses at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is really stingy about photo taking. They only allow outdoor 45 minute sessions for a $250 fee. I will check out the Brooklyn Museum. Thanks!

What about Grand Central Station? I've seen some gorgeous pics there!!! Best part: even though you DO need a permit, it's FREE!

I was thinking Grand Central! Where would I get a permit from?

I know you either call them or fax them for the permit. Let me try to find the info for you.

Ok, I found this from a post in '02. Obviously the info may be out of date, but it could be a great start for getting the permit:
'You need to get a photo permit first but its free and very easy. I have quite a few Grand Central Station wedding photos on my harddrive if you are intested in seeing why its so great! To get a permit: Call Ken Martin 212-672-1220 You need to fax him a letter asking for a permit including your names, date, purpose, time and photographer.'
HTH!
