Inexpensive catering hall
Hi, does anyone know of any reasonably priced catering halls. We would like to spend less than 80 pp. In Nassau or Suffolk. Thanks
I'm using Glenmar for my June 2000 wedding. They did the photography/videography for two of my cousins' weddings within the past year. Their photos & video were wonderful. They had their proofs and edited videos back within two weeks. Neither of them had anything bad to say about their experience with Glenmar.
Good luck with your search!! Deirdre

Hi Lynn!
I had my wedding at Felice's in Patchogue 2.5 years ago. It is now called the West Lake Inn. I know that their prices are not unreasonable. We had a wonderful wedding there....the food and service was fantastic! We dealt with Jan and she was a huge help. Believe it or not, if you call the catering halls and check the out, there a lots that are under $80 a head. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Chateau La Mer is 65 pp
I have to agree with everyone else. I have 2 words to say "WEDDING MILL". There are so many weddings going on there at one time that they do not focus 110% of their attention to YOU. I know that they have seperate kitchens for all of their rooms, but the fact that there are many more weddings going on....YOU should be their focus. I am not saying that places where there are multiple weddings are bad, when you have 7 at one time, that's a lot!
Just my two cents!

I'm having my wedding at Eastwind in Wading River. We are having a buffet on a friday afternoon. We are paying 51.05 per person and that includes tax and tip.

"John Anthony's on the Water" in Babylon (631)422-2400 is $80 pp April through October and $70 pp Nov through March for a Saturday night wedding...includes a lot, and the place is GORGEOUS!
Are children anyone under 18? They can't drink the booze and that's the biggest cost item for an open bar.....
Also - does anyone have any experience with LITTLE kids - 3 and under? I may have a 3 year old and I can't imagine paying even 1/2 for her - geez, if her mom is lucky she'll eat a roll or something.....I haven't spoken with them about it yet so if anyone has any info, i'd appreciate it!

Kate, I saw you are having your wedding at East Winds. What a beautiful place! I am having a dinner there tomorrow night for my husband and the fire department. What I wanted to tell you is that when we did the menu and final selections one month prior to the event, they handed us an envelope for the gratuity for the maitre'd. We were under the impression that the price we paid included the tip, but it did not. Just want you to be aware of that. I was a little surprised, but it is worth it! GOOD LUCK!
My sister(bride) and I(MOH) are going to check out Sweetwater the band this weekend at the Holiday Inn in Plainview has anyone heard them before, do you know there price range, are they worth the money? We have never heard them, but, they came reccomended by our photographer. She has a budget of $3500 and she does not like club type music.
Thanks,

Thanks Cynthia, but they already informed us about the tip. The tip is for the staff, the Maitre' De is seperate from that. Proper etiquette is to give the Maitre' De a 1.00 per person, over and above the waitstaff gratuity. Thanks for the input. When we sat and booked, they explained all that to us. No surprises.
