Hi everyone! I decided to get started planning my wedding. I personally wanted to run away and get married on a beach at a Sandal's resort but my fiance wants to have a wedding here. We're looking to get married sometime in September 2008. I just want to book a hall now and worry about all the other arrangements later. I have no experience planning a wedding and would appreciate any help anyone can offer. We're on a small budget about $10,000 - $12,000 max, total cost. We narrowed the guest list to about 50-65 people. I would like some input on nice halls that would fall within my budget. I want to be able to have the ceremony at the hall and have the opton of an indoor or an outdoor ceremony. Thanks.

Re: Inexpensive Catering hall for Bride on a Budget
Wherever you may look, remeber that you'll get the best bang for your buck if you pick an 'off' night and an 'off' season. So, a friday in january will be one of the least expensive times.
If you want to have outdoor options, then pick a Fri night or Sunday afternoon for the best deals.

Thanks for the advice Sammi! I absolutely hate the winter and the cold, plus it would ruin my outdoor ceremony idea, but I'll definately think about a Friday night or Sunday afternoon. Which do you think is better? I don't want all my guests to leave halfway through the reception because they have work the next day.

I am getting married in February, also low season... didnt' want to, but when you're on a budget, getting married on the off-season is key. it saved me THOUSANDS.... september is NOT low season.
Getting married in the morning also helps too.... i am havign an 11:00 Am Mass and then a 1-6 reception.
FM if you need anything, i am budget queen. I would check out the Milleridge COttage... it might be hard for you to find a 'hall' with such a small guest list... you might do well at a resturant with a private room.
Also, my total reception is costing about what your budget is.... so certain places you can fall within that and have a little more people. (Although my total budget with honeymoon, photo/video, music, etc. is a little higher that your figure.

i believe westbury manor has a small room called the executive room with a terrace overlooking the garden, i think you can fit 50-75 there comfortably, it's a beautiful place and has great food. :)
