Re: Inexpensive Florists
Check out your local florist. Even though everyone says the popular vendors 'work with your budget' i know my local florist was HUNDREDS of dollars less for the same thing.

Re: Inexpensive Florists
This florist I found was through a friend of a friend.. they are wholesalers and 700 dollars less than what some vendors want.. definitly check your local wholesale florist..
I didn't even think to check them out. And, they are not to far from my house.
If you do check them out, you will not be disappointed. Carmine is amazing.

Most inexpensive? Doing them youself through freshroses.com or one of the others. That's what I'm doing. I realize it's not for everyone, but I'm saving a bundle. I'm just doing roses (and possibly some lily of the valley in my and my MoH bouquets). It's easy to hand-tie a rose bouquet, and I'm doing the same thing for the centerpieces. Mine will be ivory Vendela roses, the BM's are having pale yellow, the MoH probably Sahara. The bouts will be either ivory single roses, or sprays of yellow mini roses. The centerpieces will be a mix of ivory and Sahara roses with yellow spray roses mixed in. I'm also buying rose petals to sprinkle up the aisle. That's it. The day before, I and my dedicated assistants will do the bouquets and centerpieces. The only thing I will probably buy is a corsage for my mom, that seems a bit difficult to do. (It's only my mom, my future MiL passed away on Thanksgiving and all our grandparents are gone now.) We're not doing ceremony flowers--we're either getting married under a pergola, or in front of a mantel. The mantel will be decorated anyway, and the pergola has vines on it, and I'm planning on hanging some tulle. Later, I may decide to buy some greenery roping, or I may not--we don't have a lot of time to decorate, as the ceremony is at 11:30 am and there's an event there the evening before. I don't want to have elaborate plans that we don't have time to implement, and expensive decorations that don't get used, so I'm keeping it simple.
As I said, it's not for everyone, but it's an option for some parts of the reception. I'm going to be getting about 400 roses for about $500, including FedEx.

Flower Barn in Seaford worked right around my budget. Although we did not use them they were the only one's that listened to my budget and made sure they quoted me within it. I have heard nothing but great things about them also. You can also check out Flower Michele and Pedestals.

I always hear Burton's when this question is asked!
I highly reccommend Burtons. They dont charge per flower type, every kind of flower costs the same...so it works out to be MUCH cheaper than the other places. They do such great work and they're so nice!
