Can anyone help? We need to get away for a long weekend and with the wedding, not a lot of $$$.

You could just go somewhere in the area...Montauk, the North Fork and do a weekend thing out there. They are pretty inexpensive before the season starts. I have even thought of staying at a B & B in Port Jeff and just doing the town for a couple of days. Anything to get some time off really.

Atlantic City is 2 - 2.5 hrs away and cheap. Don't need to gamble. Last time i went, i stayed at howard johnson (broadwalk) and it covered everything from food to a show to some money to gamble with
