Do any of you ladies have a good website for me to go to for a gown?
I have both my children getting married within 3 months of eachother and I'm so lost on a gown for my sons. (July)
Recently I was web searching and found a site www.shopshop.com, I found, loved and bought my gown from there. The gown, $89 with shipping and handling came to $110. I was a bit nervous because I was so worried it would look like a $89 gown. Much to my surprize, its absoutely beautiful. The entire gown is satin, satin lined and has the netting slip attached to give the gown its shape. My daughter feel in love with it, thats what really matters. My future-son-in-law gave his approval also. Its so well worth the money.
So now I'm back on a mission to find the perfect gown for my sons and I just can't find out.
All help is appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Inexpensive Mother-of-the-Bride Gowns
Hi: We just bought my mom's dress in Sears the other day, and it came out to $85 including tax. It was very pretty and a very nice color. I know it's not a website, but just thought I'd share.

did you try Estelles? I've heard good things about them.
Good luck in your search

My mother got her gown in Lord & Taylors. I think she paid around $200. They had a large selection as does Estelles.
My mother has this unnatural aversion to crepe so that ruled out 95% of the gowns we saw.

Re: Inexpensive Mother-of-the-Bride Gowns
I live in upstate NY so my shopping is limited without traveling 2 hours to a major city. The Sears near me is a much smaller version of the Smithaven Sears. Lord & Taylor is 3 hours away. LOL.
My daughter and I did go to Estelle's but nothing wow'd me there. Maybe it was an off time or something. I know many ladies rave about them.
I think I'm just being fussy. I'm becoming a stressed out MOB
Thank you for your suggestions. I'm open to more.
