FH and I have just started to go over some preliminary price quotes I have been gathering over the past month to determine who we want to actually meet with. Most of them are coming in a little higher than what we would ideally like to spend ($2500-3000).
I know you get what you pay for, but we're looking for someone who gives you both the hard copy proofs and the digital files. Not just 200-300 pics either, but a full amount, at least 700+. We'd prefer two photographers or one photographer and one assistant, with full day coverage. I'd like an album and parent albums, but if we had the digital files and had to make our own albums to cut down the price, we're open to it. An e-pic session would be nice, but I'm realistic and not expecting it for that price. Our style is fairly traditional, we'd like some artsy, but not overly so. We're also looking for a photographer who offers video as well, so we can kill two birds with one stone.
Can anyone think of any photographers that meet this criteria? You can FM me if you feel more comfortable.
TIA!!!!

Re: Inexpensive Photography
I recommend Duet. You can choose from many photographers who have diff. styles. Eric will def. work with you and I have heard great things about them.
If you are into the traditional look, maybe you should check out proline. Their price wasn't irresistable but I'm sure with a little negotation they would have worked with us. But I am def. more into the photojournalistic pics. However, they may be right for you.
Twelth night had an affordable package but it did not include any hardcopies of any kind.
My advice is to try to pick someone with a good reputation. If you can't afford the album right now, maybe you can get it after the wedding. Good luck and keep us posted
P.S. You might be able to find a photographer for 3K But I highly doubt you will get both video and pics for under 3K. Realistically speaking I would say at least 4,000. But then again, I am going by LIW vendors.
