Im looking for an affordable reception location for 100-120 people. Any Ideas?
has anyone been to a wedding at baileys arboretum? or any other arboretum?
Knights of Columbus halls are usually reasonably priced. Does anyone know of nice Knights of Columbus halls at can fit about 100-120 people?
Any ideas for unique places to have a reception that are also affordable? ($50-70 per person, definitely under 100)
thanks for the help :)

Re: Inexpensive reception location / arboretum
Baileys arboretum only fits about 50-75 people, and is, if I remember correctly, $3000 for the location alone. You would also need to rent a tent, which will cost a lot.
I think your best option is going with a reception hall. That way, the catering and location is taken care of by the same place. If you go with catering separate from the location, there will most likely be a large location fee, such as at vineyards.

Check out Ariana Waterfall. It's in West Hempstead. You can find it under the Vendor section on LIW. It is 10,500, but it includes EVERYTHING...like photographer, videographer, limo, and dj. It will accommodate up to 100 guest. I've never been there, but a bride had mentioned it a few months ago when another bride had a similar dilemma as you.

The K of C's in Seaford and Oceanside are pretty. My parents had their anniversary party at the one in Oceanside and it was great! We had about 100 people

Try out the Mansion at Timber Point! Food's great and the location is fabulous! It could be under $100 pp and they hold up to 200 ppl
There is the Bayard Cutting Arboretum right there, which is where my FH and I are going to take our photos!

Check out the Stewart Manor Country Club. I LOVED them and they fall well under your budget. I was very happy with them. their minimum is 100.

Look into the Knights of Colombus in Seaford. It's the Memorare Club & they are seriously affordable, more like a catering hall, and it can hold up to like 350 people! It's on Jackson Avenue

Stewart Manor Country Club is reasonable. Coral House is also reasonable. I was quoted for a Oct. 2009 wedding reception at Coral House $75 and it includes the centerpieces (which are beautiful). My brother had his wedding there and it is really nice. If you choose a different time of year then the price is less.
