inexpensive rehearsal dinner near riverhead... please help!
Hi all... So we are getting married July 24th, 2010... at Martha Clara Vineyard. We will either be having the rehearsal there or at the hotel in Riverhead. We need a rehearsal dinner for about 70 or 80 people... and we need to keep it UNDER 30 dollars a person. I would love to do a simple barbeque at someone's house, but my idea has been vetoed. ANY SUGGESTIONS are greatly appreciated. Italian food is a plus! Thank you in advance for all of your knowledge!

Not sure what they would charge you, but try The Village Crossroads in Calverton. I haven't been there ina while, but we had a lot of family functions there when I was younger. Good luck!
ETA< woah, I missed the part about 70-80 people! i'm not sure if they can do that or not, but it's worth a phone call

I used to work at Calverton Links in Calverton... it's a golf course/catering hall. they are reasonable, and they usually do outdoor seating as well as indoor... not sure what they could do and if anything has changed there since I worked there a few years ago, but their food is good and the golf course is so pretty if you want to dine outside under the tent!!!

I had mine at the East Wind in Desmonds. The food was great and we had a nice section of the restuarant. It wasn't a private room but it was close. The price was great too. I think their website has the info.

My brother in law is the GM at Blackwells. I totally suggest calling there and see if they will work with your budget. FM me if you would like to discuss further.
