FH and I went to look at tuxes and the place we went to was refered to us by our RH- but they were a bit $$$. FH's tux was over $200 and the GM/fathers was $180. I've always heard that the groom usually gets his tux for free. we're going to men's wharehouse and After Hours (hopefully tomorrow) Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive tux place preferably in nassau? Thanks

Re: Inexpensive tuxes- are there any??
My first reccomendation is NEVER use who your RH recommends because the RH gets a kickback and the vendor they send you to usually charges you A LOT more!
$200 and $180 is RIDICULOUSLY over priced!
Do you live in LI?
and YES you are supposed to get AT LEAST 1 free tux which would be for FH, but most places give you more depending on how many you need. We got 4 free tuxes but we needed a lot (large bp) but still! Thats INSANE! DONT use them at all!
I dont live in LI so I dont know of any places. I only know BK. Sorry but you can DEF do WAY better than that!

Try Esquire in Merrick. our tuxes were way less than that and FH's was free.

Try Karakos..
FH's tux was only like $89 (and it's his to own - not a rental)

There are a lot of inexpensive tux warehouse as well as stores in the Queens area- Queens Blvd (Rego Park), 71 Continental and up. If you are looking for rentals, try DK Bridals in Jamaica, NY (Queens area). They have great tux packages, 5 rentals and the groom gets his tux free. Although, they normally do rentals, you can contact the store directly to see if they carry samples for sale. Or you can also look on Ebay for inexpensive tux. Hope that helps, good luck on your wedding plans!

We just picked our tuxes out yesterday -
Went to RSVP Tuxedos on Main Street in Bay Shore.
We need 8 all together - so FH's one is free, and we got $20 off all the others.
It's going to be about $135 to 150 for each tux, including shoes

We're using Men's Wearhouse, but FH can't get his for free since we have a very small BP But it's only costing about $160 for a Calvin Klein
