Inexpensive Wedding Venue in South Nassau

Hi! My FH and I are hoping to find an inexpensive venue or resturant for a low-key, laid back affair. We are in the process of buying a house and don't want to go over board on a wedding but want something tasteful.

We live in Long Beach, so something with a beachy/water feel for about 75 people would be great.

Thanks

Try the Riviera in Massapequa...they have a waterfront and the rooms there are gorgeous!

Bridgeview, Lido Beach Golf Club, any of the Beach Clubs ( you have to be sponsored though), Coyote Grill, Freeport on the Nautical Mile. Also, check out if there are any places in Point Lookout or Atlantic Beach.

Pick up a Sites and Services Book if you don't have one already, they have tons of places and give you an idea of pricing, capacity and menus.

Good luck, if I think of anymore I will post later!

I would skip them. They are not really inexpensive, & the inside of the place is not up to par. Old flower wallpaper & carpets. The outside was beautiful, but I was very disappointed with the inside. As soon as I walked in I was ready to walk out.

I went to Brideview and it was very nice. I only have 60 guests and they were willing to accommodate me.

You can also try the Coral House. They have a lake out back where they do the ceremonies that is pretty nice. The room for 75 people though would be the Colonial and it has funky yellow and metallic wallpaper.

My job has our end of the year party here EVERY year... we usually pay $55/person for dinner, drinks and dancing... I'm sure you can work out something with them...
It's a great place and has beautiful views and their outdoor area is great for the cocktail hour and a ceremony too!!!

Good Luck! and Congrats!

Try Trobiano's in Great Neck. The food is great, the staff is friendly and they do weddings.

I was gonna say Coral House. I know I havent heard the best reviews in the past about them, but FFIL went to a wedding there recently and said it was GREAT. And he is one of those people who is very hard to please with food and service. Its definitely worth checking out.

Riviera in Massapequa is nice, but I dont know if they are that inexpensive.

Manor East in massapequa is great. My sister got married there. It is very affordable and accomodates smaller weddings (she had 50 ppl). The only thing is, its not on the water though.
FM me if you want details

i really think its a matter of opinion.. the riviera was really the only one of the RH we looked at that we loved.. and we were going for the subtle look.. versus the 'guido' look if you will.. and im italian so i can say that lol.. but yeah.. don't rule it out. it's exactly what you're looking for, the people there are great, and the prices are workable.

Definately look at the Riviera, it's so beautiful, the service was great and the food was really good.

Also keep in mind that they cater to one wedding at a time, to me that is key. I wouldn't want to get married where there are 3 or 4 weddings going on and people can sneak in and out of different rooms and blend into your wedding.

Bedell's in Freeport is nice. Check out what the prices would be for the boats that leave from Nautical Mile.
