I heard that 3 years ago, brides were not allowed to wear strapless dresses. Well I have already ordered my dress and it is strapless. I heard this from a friend of a famiy member. I refuse to wear a wrap in the middle of July!!!! They never stipulated this anywhere in theie long list of regulations either. Any info on this girls?

i am not getting married at the church HOWEVER i was told by my church the same thing AFTER i ordered my Strapless Dress BUT i found a loophole they say your shoulders must be covered did not say by what...well as long as your veil comes over your face as you walk down that aisle and covers your shoulders baby you got it made....and i hate to say this BUT WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY GOING TO DO????
throw me out...not marry me...??? i have to say i think the rules STINK! however i am doing the veil thing i am getting married before i can let you know if they marry me
good luck and ask them if that will be ok to use!

Hi, I am not getting married there, however, I attended a wedding on Feb 13th and the bride wore a strapless dress. No shawl or wrap or anything covering her shoulders. Besides, whats the worst that can happen if you show up in a strapless dress, are they going to refuse to marry you?

That is my point too~ They said nothing to me, so how was I supposed to know? It's not like they can not marry me over it. I think I will bite my tongue and not ask . . .

I am getting married there and I agree....I never heard that either!! HMMM I think if our veil covers our shoulders it should be ok! It better be because my dress has been ordered also!!
Who are you guys having marry you? We were supposed to have father John but he is no longer with the parish!! AHHHHH

I was married at Infant Jesus Church in December 03, and was NEVER asked about my attire...I don't think it's true.

OMG--I am getting married there too-and my dress is strapless--I was never told about this! I think it is a rumor! Should we call the parish??
