Infant ring bearer

Is anyone having an infant 'ring bearer' or 'flower girl?'

Obviously, they wouldn't be able to fulfill the duties of these roles, but my 6 month old nephew/godson will be my 'ring bearer'. I was wondering if any of you had a similar situation and what you gave them as a gift? I want to give him something memorable, because clearly he won't appreciate much else that doesn't resemble his bottle. If it were a flower girl, I might get her a necklace that she could wear when she was older and know that she was a part of her (favorite) aunt and uncle's wedding day. However, he is a boy, so this complicates things for me. Any ideas?

I gave my fiance's sister-in-law a bunch of flower girl books they can read together for now. I also gave them fake flower petals to 'play' with and practice with. I'm going to give the mom a scrapbook flower girl kit to make for her daughter. Basically FH sister-in-law is doing everything for her daughter to look at later when she's older.

If you want to go the jewelry route, maybe cufflinks for when he's older? But he probably wouldn't use them for 20 years or so lol

I got my flower girls flower girl books when I 'asked' them to be in the wedding. And I bought them handkerchiefs to be their something old when they get married. I will probably get them a toy too so they have something for the day of. Mine are infants though they will be 4 & 2 at the wedding. I would definitely get something small for now & then something memorable for when he is an adult
