Hi all. I haven't been on this board before but I could use some help for a friend of mine that doesn't have any computer friends for support/advice. She has been TTC for about 6 years now, on and off with insemination and now two failed IVF's. She has one left that her insurance will pay for. The thing is, she is a cop and currently on her husbands insurance. If she comes off of his insurance she can pick her own insurance, whatever company she wants. First of all, do any of you know, if you change insurances, and say the new company covers 3 IVF's, do the two you already had under another insurance still count? If any of you are going through insemination, IVF, and you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what your insurance company is, and what type and number of procedures they pay for? This would be a great help! Lots of luck and good wishes to you all

Re: Infertility/Insurance questions
The amount of IVF's covered is just for that particular insurance company. I have Oxford and they have a $10,000 advanced fertility cap. I got 2 IVF's out of it.
ETA- I had Aetna when I was doing IUI's and they covered three.
