info on john anthonys in babylon

I am looking at John anthonys, and I heard some disturbing news about possible bankruptcy and chapter 11 information. Does anyone know anything? Im scared to book and risk losing my money.

As far as I have heard, they are in the process of filing for Bankruptcy...FI & I went to look & it was not the nicest place that we had seen. Plus we were having our cocktail room inside & they only had seating for 100 people...I would not want to get screwed out of a place, so we steered clear!

We were booked there and got our deposit back. I think that they are under new management now...we didn't want to risk anything.

We did the same thing when this all started. I know the manager has opened his own place now, so there is someone else in charge now. I don't know if the bankruptcy is still going forward.

I don't know about that, but we tasted some of their hor'dorves and then we were all sick the next day. There are alot of extras that they don't tell you about unless you ask!

when we went to see it, they said that we can put on our contract, pending food tasting at bridal expo in september, am i being naive, or are they all just rumors that got out of hand??
has anyone gotten married since jan 04 at JA's?

With so many beautiful places out there why take the chance. Who needs the additional stress!!! I've heard so many rumors about that place - they're going to knock it down for new condos, it's for sale but no one can buy it because they don't have the proper COs for one of their rooms, the place is very run down etc etc. Who knows the real story....don't count on the staff - their job is to convince you to part with your deposit money. Why don't you try Thatched Cottage or Chateau La Mer or Riviera or Russos if you like the water. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I went to wedding there in April 04

I wasn't overly impressed at all.
I did my candid review of that wedding, In april..If you do a search for john anthony's it will pop up..
It created quite a stir on LIW, JUST REMEMBER IT WAS MY OPINION..
