I'm torn. Do you put city and state on the Save the Dates or the name of the actual hall? Mostly everything I see online just has city and state, but I'm not sure if I like that haha.

I put city and state where the church and hotel block will be, Westbury NY. I figured if I put 'New Hyde Park' where the venue is they'd wind up booking a hotel in Queens 45 minutes away from everything.

Thanks for the feedback! Hotel I'm using is hauppauge, but reception is at Larkfield Manor. So on STD, I should just put East Northport, NY right?

After reading these responses, I definitely went the minimalist route! I just have our names, the date, and 'formal invitation to follow.'

you're supposed to write the town of the church, but I wrote the milleridge cottage on it.. i didn't do what everyone usually does tho

I put the town of the ceremony and reception, kind of like this: Ceremony: Jamesport, NY Reception: Wading River, NY Formal Invitation to Follow
I put all of the hotel on the back of my save the date, that way everyone has everything in plenty of time to make travel plans since most of our guests are from out of state.

I didn't put either. But if I was going to I would have put 'Long Island, New York' just for keepsake purposes, but I left out both town and formal invite to follow. Because I instead listed my website that has all of that info on it.

I wrote 'Baiting Hollow, NY' I didn't write 'Invitation to follow', because there was no room, and to be honest, if someone doesn't realize that this isn't the actual invitation, that's on them. LOL
In regard to hotel info, I haven't booked my hotel block yet, but for anyone who is an out of town guest, I'm sending their invites out a little earlier. For friends, they will all be able to see my hotel info on the website, which is written on the STD
