'Informal' gown

Just so you know Estelle's on Rt. 110 carries a ton of Mori-Lee gowns now in the Estelle's II bridal area. Their prices seemed very reasonable so you may also want to check them out.

You should try the dress on before buying it. Not sure if you only saw it on their site. If so, don't buy until you find one and try it on. If you have already tried the dress on and love it then you should get it. A catherdal veil and nice headpiece (that is appropriate for the gown) is a beautiful touch. You do not need a ton of beading and huge train to be an elegant bride. If the gown makes you feel beautiful and you love it that is all that matters. (Also, your jewerly will be able to 'dress' it up a bit too.)

I think if you like it get it. I kind of felt that way about my dress when I first tried it on. I loved it but I just felt like I had to have a poofier dress for it to be formal....but poofy is not really my style. And after trying on severial other dresses in several other styles I just knew that this was the dress for me. I'm going to have a chappel lenght veil and a simple tiara to wear at the church. Then the veil will come off for the reception.
I have some pictures posted of my dress www.liweddings.com/mywedding/applesfla go to the wedding ceremony section in my photo album
Best of luck to you

If it makes you feel special than I think that's what you should go with. If you get something just to please your mom I don't think you will be truely happy. Just because the one you like does not match what a typical wedding dress looks like does not mean that it will be too informal. Do what makes you happy, this is your day.

P.S. Michele I'm in Florida too. Where is your mom at? I'm in Ft. Lauderdale :-)

Me too!

My gown is a Mori lee 'informal'
and My wedding is Friday @ 5pm.
We are having a full mass also.
Do not worry about what they call the dress, do you love it?!
It is your day, wear what makes you feel beautiful.
I chose an elbow length veil, but if you would like it extra long do that.
Good luck.

Me too! P.S.

I found my dress at Estelles but needed a place to do alterations. I've said this many, many times but...
Angel Bridals in Islip is the best. They have been my fairygodmothers!
My dress arrived in less than 3 weeks!
They will try to match prices so check Estelles for that.
Good luck!
