information overload!!!

GAAHHHH. is anyone experiencing wedding information overload?!?!

i *thought* i have everything planned out - the colors, the theme, the entourage attire, etc but the more i search online, the more i get confused and undecided!!! too many darn information!!!! GRRR

ITA..its an exercise of will power. Every bridal magazine will have new dresses, ideas, forums, web site links, so theres no way to actually read and absorb every possible detail.

I just stick to the basics and completely filter out the rest. For ex: I don't read every single bridal magazine, I just buy the newsstand (I subscribe to too many magazines and dont want to piss off FH's mailbox anymore).

I also force myself to look at my budget and ask anytime I want to buy something, 'do i really want this? do i really need this?'. This is especially true for favors..I don't really need to have 3 different sets of candy tins for favors, etc..

I also limit myself only a few hours each week for actual planning. I only limit myself to appointments for vendors that I realistically see myself booking. Once I book a vendor, I throw out ALL the other flyers from competitive vendors so I don't change my mind!

I did the same. Once I booked it, I'm DONE. Don't show me anything else!

I definitely experienced overload during the weekend of our engagement when I started looking at wedding stuff. And then I had a nervous breakdown 2 weeks later. But now I'm good!
