Just wanted to share a story... I was not really interested in registering for China because you never get the whole thing anyway and how many times do you really use it? I had always loved my Grandma's China and had nice memories of using it at holiday dinners growing up. We had discussed her handing it down to me and she told me a story that went a long with it that is making it that much more special!
My grandpa escaped Nazi Germany during WWII - lost his parents. Met my grandma in the states - got married. They went back to Germany in 1950 (a little too soon for my comfort level) to see what was going on, if he could find out anything about relatives, bank accounts, etc. Turns out he had all this money in bank accounts - but couldn't take it out of Germany - it was worthless anywhere else - so what they did was buy their entire set of German China and had it shipped back to the States - 14 place settings - still in perfect condition!! SO - ths is my inheritance - which makes it a lot more special to me than registering at Fortunoff! Just wanted to share - sorry it's long!

That is a great story! You will always remember that for the rest of you life and will appreciate using your china. I also will be inheriting china, but my story is not as nice as yours. Thanks for sharing.
